I’m working on a series of photographs and short film clips of trash left behind in beautiful places. I’ll be giving a talk on the project at PSi#22 (the annual Performance Studies International conference) in Melbourne, 6-9 July 2016. I’m drawn to the bits of trash as small works of art that often go overlooked, and also keep asking the question: why do we trash the places we treasure? Here are a few photos from the series, which is still in development.
