LANDING

LANDING:
Melbourne in-person workshop
Sunday 28 August 12-2pm
OkTopia Space, Thornbury

LANDING is meeting gravity with awareness, dancing with the floor and what lies beneath, tapping into our inner (proprioceptive & vestibular) senses of which way is up, and down and over there.
LANDING supports our ability to push off and reach for new horizons, new connections, new experience. Our connection with earth underlies our ability to calibrate space – how far to reach and how to come back home or find home in a new experience.
LANDING is yielding, which is being present to your supporting surfaces and systems.
LANDING is conversation, meeting and moving with other people, moving towards and away, toning reciprocity and lightness in the field of connection.

These workshops offer pathways to explore landing based in Body-Mind Centering® and Social Presencing Theater. Somatic explorations are based in movement and the practices are physical. So while no previous experience is necessary you should be prepared to move, and to learn from your moving body and all its sensate wisdom. AND you can start where you are, as you are – movement comes in all sizes and velocities.

Sunday 12-2p @ Oktopia Space in Thornbury.
Max 15 participants.

You’re walking.
And you don’t always realize it, but you’re always falling.
With each step you fall forward slightly.
And then catch yourself from falling.
Over and over, you’re falling.
And then catching yourself from falling.
And this is how you can be walking and falling at the same time.
